Citizen surveys are carried out on a regular basis to determine the patterns of mobility on different means of transport.

The Working Day Mobility Survey is an annual statistic published by the Metropolitan Transport Authority (ATM), Barcelona City Council, Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB) and the Association of Municipalities for Mobility and Urban Transport (AMTU).
Its purpose is to determine the basic characteristics of working day mobility (From Monday to Friday not public holidays) of the population resident in the area of the integrated fare system of Barcelona aged 16 and over.
The 2006 Daily Mobility Questionnaire of the Department of Territory and Sustainability and the Metropolitan Transport Authority, with 106,091 surveys completed, analyses mobility habits in Catalonia.
